Appendix to item 27: Report from the President of the Education Foundation

1. The third annual meeting of the Foundation was held on July 21, 1998 in Brighton at the XXI Congress of FIG.

2. Flyers promoting the Foundation have been printed in English, French, Spanish and German languages.

3. A plan of fund-raising for the 1998/1999 period has been instituted, including:

a.  A letter from the President of the Foundation to all Honorary Presidents of FIG.

b.  A letter from the President of the Foundation to all the Member Associations of FIG.

c.  As presented to the General Assembly in Brighton, and as accepted by the GA, an optional donation to the Foundation of R200.00 has been included on the registration form for the Working Week in Sun City, South Africa.

4. A full financial report including report of the donations in conjunction with registrations to the General Assembly will accompany this report to the General Assembly in May at Sun City, South Africa. To be tabled.

5. The officers and directors of the Education Foundation are:
